Default Going to look at a F.I.E. E22 in 15 min... anyone know anything about F.I.E guns?

I am going to look at a F.I.E. E22 pistol in a few min. and I don't know anything about the brand and can't find any reviews. Are they junk? or worth looking at?

Ok, I think I know enough that I don't want one.

    sorry for the late reply...

the FIE (an importer from Miami FL) 22 autos are pretty much junk....not sure who actually made the gun, but i *THINK* it was phillipino.

My uncle had one, it was a very cheap and poor attempt at a copy of a beretta model 87, but with a fixed barrel like a makarov.

I spent hours trying to get that thing to work reliably, in the end, it took the installation of a recoil spring form a Mauser Vest pocket 32, trimmed, and i had to fabricate a totally new extractor to make it work maybe 3 times out of 5.

I suggest NOT buying an FIE 22:-)

Thanks, yeah the guy said it looked like a beretta. he wanted only $150 for it but after I found out FIE was just an importer then I got scared. And it looks like I should be.
