what kind of 12ga do you use for HD?(12ga wound profile)

I found this while brawsing, and thought it was very informative, specialy me being shotgun noob.
My Mossy 500 is loaded with 00buck shot next to my bed, and clearly may not be an best choice, as it may over penatrate..

I did a write up on another site for Penetration values VS your house.


Made a whole mock wall IE: drywall,studs, insulation, sheathing board, outside insulation and siding.



I'll have to dig up the pics BUT, Unless youre house is made of Steel or Solid brick damn near everything but #8 birdshot is going through it.

I use a Stoeger Coach gun. My main round is Centurion Multidefense, I have stock shell holder with 1 slug and 2 #4 buckshot shells strapped for backup.

I don't use a shotgun for home defense anymore but when I did I kept her loaded with 3" #1 buck.

Hey Randy, how are you liking that ATI stock on your shotty? Does it beat your sholder when you shoot Slug out of it?
