LTCF from Lehigh County
Has anyone from Lehigh county received thier LTCF in less than 45 days? Is there a way to track my application to see if it has been processed? I have heard of other counties getting the LTCFs to the people faster than 45 days. I am just getting a little anxious about it and would like to know.

Re: LTCF from Lehigh County
I am on my 4th LCTF and all I can say is that Lehigh County takes their time in processing these. I think mine took at least 30-40 days every time I renewed mine.

Damn... thanks for the input... I was hoping to hear something different, I don't like being unarmed. Maybe I will get lucky...

Re: LTCF from Lehigh County
I'm on my 3rd license. If I remember correctly, I got the original in ~30 days...that was when you had to have a doctor fill out a separate form attesting to your good mental health. They sent out their renewal applications plenty early, too. I believe I got my renewals about 2 weeks after going to the sheriff's office to get the required photo taken.
And I never mentioned that my uncle was a deputy sheriff to get preferential treatment.
If yours is a new application and you are new to this county, perhaps getting a 'good guy' report from some of your neighbors could be causing the delay. Who knows? Maybe the deputies are overwhelmed with other duties?

Re: LTCF from Lehigh County
I'm sure this has been discussed on here in the past, but this makes little sense. So you can walk into almost any building and OC but you can't have a firearm in your glovebox in your vehicle to take you there - which if you live in a rural area, walking everywhere just to feel better is probably more dangerous (i.e. - getting hit by a car) than just driving and staying unarmed, in the long run. Ugh.

Re: LTCF from Lehigh County
Did you previously have a LTCF which recently expired?
18 Pa.C.S. § 6106: Firearms not to be carried without a license
(b) Exceptions.--The provisions of subsection (a) shall not apply to:
[...]
(12) A person who has a lawfully issued license to carry a firearm pursuant to section 6109 (relating to licenses) and that said license expired within six months prior to the date of arrest and that the individual is otherwise eligible for renewal of the license.I am not a lawyer. Nothing I say or write is legal advice.
