NRA Membership
I am going to join the NRA. I know you have a selection of like 3 magazines to choose from. Anyone out there make a reccomendation on the ones they like? I was leaning towards rifleman or freedom. Wanna get some opinions though.

Re: NRA Membership
I get the American Rifleman, simply because they don't have a handgun dedicated magazine and the Rifleman does cover handguns a bit. I don't hunt, so the hunting one was out for me.

I get the American Freedom I think it is... like it a lot, has more of the political stuff than the Rifleman does.

The "Armed Citizen" column is good.

Re: NRA Membership
Spend the tiny bit of extra money and get them all for the first year. Then you can make an intelligent decision for yourself! That's what I did.
I kept them all since I found good things in each, and I don't hunt either.NRA Training Counselor, Chief Range Safety Officer, NRA Benefactor Member

Re: NRA Membership
+1 for the Freedom mag . The " Armed Citizen " is a great section , similar to " It happened to me " section in the more LEO oriented mags . Their great examples of real life situations you can copy and use to help educate the sheeple . As someone else said , the Freedom one is also more politics oriented which is good also .
Are you getting the Life Member on installment ? Thats the one me and the wife did years ago . Its a really easy way to get the life membership without having to shoot your load all at once to buy it .
Have to admit I was surprised to see the Life Member Installment price went up from 750.00 ( when we did it ) to almost 1200.00 nowSi vis pacem, para bellum

Re: NRA Membership
I will probably do a year membership for now. I did not see the option to get all the magazines for additional cost?

Re: NRA Membership
*SPOILER ALERT*
The gun-grabbing Democrats are coming to steal your guns. Vote Republican, or else.
And that about sums up the content of America's First Freedom. Even if you don't mind the monotony of the fear-mongering, any of the useful information (i.e. true self-defense stories, alerts about important pending legislation) you can easily find here on PAFOA. Go for one of the other ones.Safety is a good tool for tyrants; no one can be against safety.
