    Thumbs up Magazine: 15 + 2 = 14?

I have a Glock 27. From Glockmeister, I purchased a Glock 22 magazine (15 round capacity) and paid $10 more for the +2 extension. That adds up to 17 rounds. I am only able to fit 14 rounds in.

Any ideas as to what the problem might be? Thanks.

sounds like the same problem i have with 1 of my m&p mags.its supposed to hold 17 some times it only holds 15 or 16 .what happens is the follower some how gets out of kilter .but all i have to do is unload it and reload it that usually fixes it.

Either of you guys tried using a magazine loader?

I practically end up nearly breaking my thumb every time I try to get the 12th round into my Taurus mags. However, the other day I tried an UpLula mag loader and MAN was it so much easier!

However, for the little bit of shooting I do, I just couldn't fathom spending $37 on one. Maybe if I find a better deal somewhere other than the gun shop I was at (Layman's in East Prospect, PA).

    +1 for the Uplula.

Grated, I never have problems loading my Glock mags by hand, but the Uplula does speed it up, and really helps load my other pistol mags.

I second make sure your using a mag loader. One of my mags for my kel tec would only hold five rounds. Took it apart, Put it back together, loaded it and unloaded it a couple times and it works now.

I've done that as well. Always seems tight after I clean them and put them back together. Other than that, it's gotten a little easier loading them by hand now that I've worked them a little. (Either that, or my thumbs have started getting stronger!)

no i don't use a mag loader mostly because i can load mags faster with my fingers than most people can with a loader.

I use the loader that came with my G22 for the last 5 rounds, I always get 15 no problem....maybe it's the extension thingy.....

    ETA 15 + leave it alone = 15 ;P

i picked up a couple of 15/17 rd mags for my browning hi power a couple of months ago. i had the same problem even with a mag loader. with the 15 rd extension it would only hold 13. i loaded up the 13 and let it sit for about a week and then i was able to load the other 2. i guess this is due to really strong springs.

Magazine spring tension /tensile strength to high ??? I didnt see anyone mention mag springs as a possible culprit .
