What are the labor laws for breaks in PA? & how long can they make you stay...

I keep finding conflicting information on this. What I want to know is does my wife's employer have the right to refuse food breaks on a 6 hour shift? Can she even get a 10 minute break? She works as a hostess at a local restaurant.

Also how long after her shift can they make her stay? Can they fire her for not staying after 4:00 even if that when the agreed to let her off?

Ok,

There's no Federal law mandating breaks, although there is a law that if the break is less than 20 minutes, it must be paid.

PA also does not have a law for persons above 18.

PA is an "at will" state; meaning, an employer can fire you for almost any reason, without notice.
