    Default OC in Pittsburgh

So I decided to OC in Pittsburgh today. Before I set out to do so, I was pretty sure it'd be uneventful, and I was pretty much right.

Squirrel Hill-picking up some bananas and liquid soap at Giant Eagle. Cashier noticed, didn't care. Couple others noticed, didn't care. Barnes and Nobles-cashier didn't notice. Liquor store-cashier didn't notice/cared, couldn't tell.

Waterfront-had some food at the Rock Bottom, no issues. Same in Best Buy+Target. Well on the way out some guy noticed, did a double take, told his gf, both stared. Saw the guy on the phone, wonder who he was calling, lol.

Oakland-7/11 cashier noticed, didn't care. Pitt cop didn't notice. Rite aid- no one noticed. Eckerd. lol, my friend immediately noticed, we started talking about carrying, what we carry, etc...Cashier and some customers definitely noticed at that point, no one cared, etc.

    yea, good first experience.

oh, I was carrying a 4" xD-45 service model in the holster that came with it, and an extra magazine.

I was actually at Rock Bottom and Best Buy today in the Waterfront probably from 1-2:30pm. I wasn't paying much attention, the boss treated for lunch.

I hate the holsters that come with springfields. I replaced mine with a Blackhawk Serpa.

Good to hear about a successful open carry in my neck of the woods.

+1 for hating the holster it comes with. I don't carry my XD, but I would def go with a serpa.

I don't care for the XD gear holster either. It would be ok if it had some sort of adjustabily to the thickness of your belt, so you get a tight fit. My XD9 was a lil older and came with a paddle holster, but I'm not a fan of those either, but certainly better than the other XD gear holster.

Yea it moves around a tad. I'll get a better holster soon. For IWB I'm using a Bulldog one, Uncle Mikes fit shitty.

Yea a LEO gave me a talk about OC. He insists that with the license you *must* conceal. I tried to talk to him that its not exactly the case, but he was adamant. No I didn't have them flyers on me but I mentioned the court cases and stuff. OC'ed anyway, doubt I'll run into him again. O well, I'm not as persuasive as you guys.
