Default Kim Stolfer, A Pennsylvania Gun Rights Champion, has passed away

It is with deep sadness that I would like to share news with you all that long-time friend and activist Kim Stolfer passed away in his home on April 15th.

On a professional level, Kim was a core part of the movement to preserve and defend gun rights in Pennsylvania for decades and was critical to many political victories such as stopping Rendell's gun control packages during his term and getting Castle Doctrine passed.

On a personal level, Kim was one of the first people to reach out to me when I was in my 20's and started PAFOA as a forum. He was a genuinely kind person who welcomed me into this world with open arms sharing his time, his experience, and his knowledge. I will forever consider him a friend and a mentor.

Kim deeply understood the importance of the the fight for gun rights and saw how critical the Internet, forums, and the grassroots organization would be earlier than most.

I wish I had something more eloquent to say, but I am shocked, sad. The world is better off for Kim's life, and hurt by his passing.

I hope everyone will take a moment to reflect on the legacy of a Marine who dedicated his blood, sweat, and passion to this country in multiple ways and roles throughout his life.

Rest in Peace, Kim (or as we will always remember you, forum member "Activist", one of our earliest members)

Oh wow. Not what I was expecting (thread title is abbreviated), but I do recall his health was in decline.

    Thanks for updating us.
Prayers for his family and extended gun rights family who knew him well.

We all benefitted indeed from Kim's contribution to our country and to our common dedication in protecting the second Amendment and freedom. I remember so well his motivation at the Harrisburg rally. RIP Brother...

In the end, the 2nd Amendment benefited from his hard work in Pa. RIP.
