    Default Glock 36 or 30?

Never thought I'd say it, but I really want another Glock in 45ACP. I want it for off-duty concealment. I wonder just how accurate the 36 is.

I have never shot either the 30 or the 36. I did hold a 36 today at Gander Mountain and it felt fine.

Anyone with a 30 or 36 especially in a SF version let me know how you like your gun.

    Thanks.

Dave I have both pistols..They are both awesome 45s but the 36 is a better carry gun in my opinion..When I carry with "in the waist band" holsters the thinness of the 36 is very noticable..Its thinner and lighter,, at the end of the day it makes a huge differance to me..

So how accurate is the 36 say out to 20 - 25 yards?

I've seen em shoot 3" at 25 before...

The 30's shoot REALLY tight, too.

I have a G36, it can shoot minute of bad guy at 30 yards. It ain't a Gold Cup, but it does the trick. You know all the #'s for distance in CC shootings, and the G36 is a tackdriver at those ranges.

The first shot is easy. The rest can be tough to put down accurately. I found the short grip limits the purchase I can have on the pistol and installed pierce +1 magazine buttplates on 5 of my six magazines.

If you are interested in the G36 look at the threads I have started under my profile.

I dont know how accurate the 36 is, but with my 30 I hit pop cans at 25 yards offhand on a regular basis. The Glock 30 is the best CC handgun I have found for me, but your requirements may be far different.

I only have a 30, but check www.glock.com for dimensions on both models. There is VERY little difference between the two.

.14" in width I think. As for weight, if I load 6 rounds in my Model 30 it will not weigh much more than a Model 36 with 6 rounds.

On the other hand I can load more than 6 rounds in my Model 30 if I choose to.

Can you guess what my vote would be (if we were voting)?

So who's going to bring one to the group shoot this Sunday?

You can also use the 13 round Glock 21 mags in the 30. I carry 2 on my belt for backup, and use the stock 10 rounder in the gun.

So if I get a 30SF then I can run them with my G21SF mags.

Can the G21SF mags work in a G36 also?
