Pennsylvania deserves. Easy access, and FREE PARKING for over 2000

Warren Street Bypass is a local name for Rt. 12 (and is not used

Please remember this is a new show and a brand new Expo Center. It
takes great public support and patience to build a show. Public
support means more dealer participation. More dealer participation
equals even more public support. With your support this show will
grow larger than the former Fort Washington Expo Center show.

Did anyone go to the 1st show in Reading? If so, how was it? A lot of dealers? Well attended? Decent selection? etc???
Thanks,

Re: Mid Atlantic Arms Collectors - Greater Reading Expo Center
Flasport, if my memory serves me correctly, i was at the first show here...i believe it was last year sometime. Seemed like a nice place however there weren't too many people there as there were still some renovations going on in the expo center. While it was not a small crowd, it wasn't the Harrisburg show. As a matter of fact, i would say that it was somewhere between the size of the Philly armory show (400 tables?) and the Harrisburg show (1200 tables).. i know, that's quite a range, but it was worth heading over there... I think it was about 600 tables, good selection of stuff, not the huge Harrisburg show but it has the room( and potential) to grow bigger if it's well attended. Being a Berks native I just like the idea of a venue like this back home. Check it out, if we show up more dealers will too.

I was there too. It was held on September 30th and October 1st last year.
About half the dealers I talked to Sunday afternoon said they thought it was a great show. The other half said that it was a horrible show (didn't sell much), but that they would come to the second show to give it another chance.
I've also talked to a few dealers that weren't at the first one and are planning to go to the second show.
I'll be going Saturday morning to check it out again.

Re: Mid Atlantic Arms Collectors - Greater Reading Expo Center
Considering the last show(and actually the first significant gun show in the Reading area in a Vvveeeerrrryyyy lllooonnggg time) was almost an "OMG, a gun show in Reading" type of event for some that attended, I didn't think it came off that badly.
A number of the LEO contingent that was there seemed to have had the apparent look of questioning doubt when observing the crowd, but for the attendee's were a clean and well behaved.
As for the vendors, that's how it goes many times when a venue returns to an area that isn't warm to the thought politically(hey, it's Reading and Dem controlled for an extremely long time) and foreign to the experience for so long. I know that I referred a nice find of a Beretta 92FS Inox Compact L, Type M to the Classifieds board on the Beretta Forum, as I already had such a model. The post I placed didn't go un-noticed and a forum member contacted the vendor/seller and the pistol now has a new home. Sometimes the sale doesn't always happen at the show........
Now, maybe this time around I'll find the Beretta 92FS Inox Brigadier I've been looking for such a long time....
See you at the show(or on the range)!
