Default trying to find a range

I use to go to the GPGC but with them closing, and there not being a range in game land 117 anymore, bullseye is closed, so I just dont know where to go. I'm thinking of the one in Ambridge but I don't know anything about them. Any ideas I don't want to drive to far?

Ambridge or what I have seen of it is a glorified drinking hole with a range for an excuse. Try PMSC, it is like GPGC in that you can shoot every thing without disturbing other shooters, and we have lots of members from PAFOA there.

Yeah that AMbridge, and its not in Baden, you can get basic info on how to get there at http://forum.pafoa.org/allegheny-27/...irections.html

Seems they no longer have their own webpage...

PMSC is the Pittcairn Monroeville Sportsmens club www.PMSConline.com
we have monthly group shoots there if you want to go visit the club and meet PAFOA members.

I'll second Frenchy's suggestion of Pitcarin /monroeville Sportsmans club.

They have quite a few different ranges and I would say they are very similar to GPGC as far as range rules etc.

There are a few ranges closer to Imperial.

McDonald Sportsmans club is another good club but has pretty high dues if you don't commit to work sessions. The club and range itself is pretty nice.

Coraopolis Sportsmans club is about 2 or 3 minutes off I-79 /rt51 exit. It's a small club with 100yd max rifle but does have an indoor range for pistol.

Forest Grove is not too far from that same I-79 exit but is also limited to 100 yds max on rifle.

I have shot at Mcdonald and belong to Coraopolis but PMSC is a much nicer club. Reasonable as well.

You should check them out and see what fits your bill.

I was looking for either free or low membership cost. I'm not worried about how the club looks or anything as long as I can just shoot a gun without getting in trouble.

I don't think you'll find something free in western Pa.(but if you do, let us know )

You are probably into $100 at most of the clubs in and around Allegheny Co.

If you're in Imperial, don't forget about either Forest Grove Sportsman Club in Robinson or Coraopolis Sportsman's club. I believe both are $50.00 initiation and $50.00 per year. Forest Grove has no indoor facilites but I like it there.
