Default Fobus Paddle holster for IDPA?

I've tried searching for this and I really haven't found a direct answer. Is a Fobus paddle holster legal for IDPA? It kind of sticks out from your body, so I wasn't sure if it was legal.

I used a Fobus paddle holster for both years i shot IDPA with no problem.

I can present much faster than with my IWB carry holsters.

Fobus paddle holsters should be legal for IDPA. The backpiece needs to be
less than 3/4 of an inch from your body, and the breechface of your gun
must be above the middle of your belt. The belt must go thru the belt loops on your pants. There are several pages on this subject in the rulebook.
If you don't have the book, you can read and download it www.IDPA.com
I've never heard of a problem with these holsters. The roto models might be
a problem at some clubs as the backpiece is farther away from your body.
The generation 2 holsters hold the gun lower, and may be questionable.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi Yoder,

I shoot IDPA with this Fobus >>>

If you arn't sure call or email your club and ask. Since I bought mine over the net it was pretty hard to measure out the specs that IDPA have for approved holster types.

Virtually all paddle holsters are IDPA legal. Same with pancakes. Belt holsters have all the funky rules.
