odd question... applying for LTCF
Background info... I live in Northampton County about 3 miles from the PA State Police HQ (technically this is Lehigh County) across from the LV airport. Can I apply for a LTCF at this location instead of the courthouse in Easton (which is Northampton County, but a murch further drive... do I have to file at the courthouse for my specific country?). OR can I file for the LTCF at the PA State Police HQ right down the street? I'd rather not drive to Easton if it can be taken care of right down the street.
I called the PASP HQ down the street about applying for a license to carry firearms (just to get some information) but the operator at the station started talking about Act 235 (even though I never said anything being employed in a job that requires carrying a gun)... anyways, it was more time than I cared to waste on the phone so I thanked her for her time and hung up. She also wasn't able to provide an answer whether if I could file at the location across from the airport of if I had to go to Easton.
I just need someone to give me clear cut instructions on where I need to go and what I need to do to apply for a LTCF in Northampton County. A brief search on PAFOA didn't bring up any relevant posts... Thanks in advance!

Re: odd question... applying for LTCF
You have to apply at the sheriff's office of the county in which you reside. (Or chief of police if you live in a city of the first class)
PSP doesn't issue LTCF's.

^^^ +1 what IV_Warrior said.
18 Pa CSA §6109. Licenses.

(b) Place of application.-An individual who is 21 years of age or older may apply to a sheriff for a license to carry a firearm concealed on or about his person or in a vehicle within this Commonwealth. If your address is in Northampton county, then we'll see you in Easton.
