    Default 243 loads

Anyone have any real good success with a particular load for 100 gr Sierra Spitzer's? Right now, I'm getting 3 shots in almost 1 hole, but the other 2 shots are about an inch away. That's the best 5 shot group I can get. My mod 70 seems to like 36.2 grs of IMR 4064, but I am going to try to tinker with it a bit. Just wondering if anyone has better success with a different powder or load. thanks

i like 44 gr. of IMR 4831 and 39.1 of IMR 4350 also 42 gr. of the 4350 seems to be quite accurate. these are pushing 100gr. Nolser BTSP

    i have a model 70 as well

Thanks for the reply. I was out again today, and even in the wind, seemed to have pretty good luck with the 4064. Cut 3 holes in 1 again, the other 2 were about 3/8" to either side of them. Pretty happy with it, but i think i am going to tinker with the 4831 as well.

I recently finished working up a load for a friend's Rem. model 7 youth in .243. Out of all the bullet/powder combos I worked up, the most accurate for THAT rifle was 36gr of IMR 4064 behind a Berger 95gr VLD using a standard CCI primer.
