Ask your teacher if he/she is cool with you having a viewpoint that might be different from his/hers but assure him/her that you are not preparing to pull a Columbine. You are just exploring part of the Bill of Rights.
Sad when we have to tell people we are just stating an opinion and police presence is not required.

I wrote a paper on the 2A and each candidate's position last semester. It was obviously not pro-who-got-elected but I stated the facts clearly and non-aggressively. It didn't do as well as it should have, IMO. But you have to remember your audience. Places of higher education generally are not receptive to our viewpoints and you may be graded accordingly.
