Default Rugers new Polymer Frame Snubbie

Just saw a picture of this in the latest issue of Front Sight that I got. Has anyone seen this thing yet? Man, I bet this is one light pistol. But I wonder how it feels to shoot it. Would make a great pocket gun I bet.

I'm still trying to figure out what I'm missing about this revolver...

I'm trying to understand why I would buy a new design, poly framed gun from a company that had it's last 2 new designs recalled.

The Ruger has a 5 shot cylinder, so it cant me much thinner than a Taurus or S&W J frame.

It's within 2 oz. of any airweight S&W J Frame.

New unproven design with no advantages over current wheel guns.

Can anyone clue me in on something I missed?

Or is this simply the next new gun that will sell like hot cakes and nobody knows why?

I like Rugers but do not believe this is a pocket gun.

Overall size is larger than a Glock 26/27/33. They won't fit in my pocket.

Weighs more than a Taurus titanium.

Not sure it's going to be a big seller.

ETA: Not looking to trade my 638 on it.

    OR a S&W 340pd which can fire .357mag.

    Agreed.

I guess what we're missing is the "advanced" polymer design.
Thanks, but if I want an ugly, plastic gun, I'll keep my Glock.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

I'm gonna steal a quote from Pulp Fiction on this thing. Ted Yost used it when asked about a build on certain brand of 1911's. I still laugh like hell about it and think it is quite fitting on this Ruger.
"Sewer rat might taste like pumpkin pie but I'll never know."
