First shots fired in anti-gun war??

I was just watching NBC Nightly news.

They had a story on the drug violence getting out of control in Mexico. They added that it is spilling over into the US as well.

Further, they did not so much blame:

1) Failed war on drugs in US and Mexico.
2) Corruption in Mexico (and some in US, no doubt).
3) Failed Border control at official crossings and in the open areas.

What did they harp on for the international crisis (US and Mexico)?

Guns are being brought into Mexico from the US. The main sources being straw purchasers in some shops and especially at gun shows. This is the cause of all of the woes.

By allowing the three reasons given above to continue, they have allowed the fourth and obvious result to occur.

Yet, I foresee this to be declared an international incident and a national security matter. A matter that will be used to begin much more stringent gun control.

They will abridge the Constitution as it now will be declared an international incident not foreseen by our forefathers.

Mark my words.

Most of the world see Obama as one who will align the US with 90% of the rest of the world, that is, socialism. That is his big international draw. And one of the biggest principles to be stripped is the individual right to keep and bear arms, which is not recognized by most nations.

The other 10% are Communist nations who would love to see the US move closer to a restrictive state. We as free citizens are too much of a wildcard to be able to predict our stance. Once we are stripped and subjugated, the world order can move on unimpeded and in a predictable fashion.

Keep eyes and ears open.

You watch, they will roll out a 'straw purchase bill' to help protect Mexico ... I can see it now

Actually the wife brought this up tonight ... they can get their weapons from just about ANY south American country at 1/3 what they would pay in the US ..... you are 100% right, another silly assed excuse from the antigun groups

When Americans elected Hussein Obama to office, it became inevitable that we would have to fight for our rights, or surrender them. And the fight is not going to take place in the halls of Congress. They've already chosen to allow a man to take office of President who doesn't meet the Constitutional requirements.

Fight and die free, or surrender and die as slaves. It's a choice we may well have to make before the end of summer.

Mexico needs our help to enforce their laws? They want us to help them with their problems?

I think we should think of them and help them since they help us protect our borders.

We should help them only as far as they have helped us. They want our borders open so it is their fault the gangs are getting guns and bringing them south. If they had helped us build the wall instead of attacking it they would not be in the fix they are in. If we had a secure border we both would have a lot fewer problems. If Obama really wants to help Mexico he would build the wall.
