Default God I love my employer.

Was going to post this earlier but this is the first chance I got. This is what they put in the memo section of my pay stub last week.

"Firearms are second only to the Constitution in importance; they are the peoples' liberty's teeth" - George Washington

Now we are a medium size fuel transport company. So our business is not firearm related. Nice to know you work for a company where the owner cherishes the 2nd amendment as much as you.

Congratulations! We should all be so lucky!

We have a very carefully-worded prohibition on weapons in our office. I haven't seen the equally carefully-worded statement of liability for any violence that takes place against the disarmed employee populace!

To top it off, we work in a very dangerous part of town (a man was shot and killed just 1.7 miles away, yesterday afternoon at about quitting time), but the muckety-mucks all park in the locked garage, so they can make a quick getaway in case of trouble. Thanks, boss!

My owner is very pro gun. She carries herself and doesn't care if we bring ours to work. She just signed up for a 1500.00 NRA donation to our local NRA banquet. They have a lot of web sites blocked on out work computers but she lets me go on anything related to weapons and guns etc. When she wants somthing new she has me order it for her.

A noble sentiment but there is no record of Washington having said it.

No I can't carry when I'm in the truck. The terminals we load at would frown on that. But there is very few cars at our plant that doesn't have them in. The owner is the typical Florida "redneck". Drives a f-350, owns land in Montana that he hunts on a couple times a year. I can honestly say this is the best company I ever worked for. If the economy ever gets straighten out I'm moving back to PA for family and friends. I'll really hate to leave this company when that time comes. Never checked to see if Washington actually said it but even if he didn't for my boss to even put it on there is enough for me.

Very nice ... my current employer lets me get gun related stuff delivered here, which is nice. Plus, he doesn't care when I bring my pistol to work when I go to the range on my lunch break. He got a kick when I brought my AK-47 in to show a few people here at work. Will probably bring the new AR to work for a day of show and tell too.
