Exclamation Found old guns at dad's house

So to save everyone the background story, here's what I have.

Savage Arms Corp. .303 lever action
    Made in UTICA, NY

High Pressure steel # 233077 Only # on gun, also stamped inside wooden forgrip stock. Has a little hole in the left side of the action and when you load rounds in it it turns a wheel telling you how many rounds are in the gun. My dad said he got it in 1950 and it was old then. Last date on it was 1909?

    __________________________________________________ ______
I also found a break action shotgun that had this stamped on it.
HARVARD THE GEO. WORTHINGTON CO. CLEVELAND, OHIO
the # on the other side was # 265103 with a 12 next to a G in a diamond? I guess it means 12 guage?

Caan anyone Date these guns, tell me what they're worth if anything?

You have a Savage Model 99 chambered in .303 Savage. Your number would make it a 1921 vintage. The number should be stamped on the inside of the butt plate and the butt stock. With the fore- end removed you should find a letter stamped on the front of the receiver. That will tell you what version of the 99 you have. The magazine is a brass rotary type with shell counter. The front receiver ring should be marked Savage 99 unless a scope mount is covering it, then I will puke. Same goes if has sling swivels.
IMO the 99 was a head its time and I prefer the 99 over the Winch. 94 and I love Winchesters.

People here get worked up over mag and clip. I get bent when when I hear some one say hex barrel! Hex is six sided you see hex signs on barns. I have seen a lot of octagon barrels with eight flats, but never a hex barrel!

Well then, the Savage 99 on the receiver started in 1920 going by Doug Murray's book. Sounds like you have a Savage 1899. Can you post a picture?

Is it a takedown model? On takedowns, you can unscrew the barrel from the receiver when you remove the forend. The 99's featured a rotary magazine, and were well made.
