Opinion Question from new member here.
I am curious to see if anyone has fired or owned the Hi-Point C-9 9MM. This is my first new handgun (I have others that I inherited from family) and I wont be able to get to a range to fire it for a few weeks and wanted some reviews from the members here.
From what I have seen on other message boards, it gets alot of mixed reviews, alot of people swear by them, others would rather CCW a piece of glass. I bought mine because I am on a budget being in the Military.Originally Posted by GOULD, Circuit Judge, concurring:

If it's the gun you could afford then it's the right gun for you. Don't let anyone bust your stones cause you didn't pay enough for your gun. Go enjoy it, and practice a lot before you CCW.

I had and shot one for 3 or 4 years. Don't let the price (or stuck up people) get to you. It's a hell of a lot o 9 for the dollar. Mine always went boom and was reasonablely accurate. The compensator made it crazy loud though-wear ear protection!! I sold mine for more expensive....more "stuck up" pistol wants/needs

Re: Opinion Question from new member here.
I looked at one once. Beside the fact that is pretty clunky for carry, for the money(I think it was under $200)why not. I think they have a reasonable reputation.
I often have considered one for canoeing and such. If it goes in the drink oh-well at least it wasn't $600. If I am not mistaking all Hi-point guns are blowback designs which is odd in larger calibers. I don't think blowbacks have had a good reputation in larger calibers. I would think that if it is a blowback it would have a fairly strong recoil spring. But if you decide to buy one and don't like it at least you can keep it for whatever. I mean for the price why not.
Good luck and keep us posted. I for one am curious.FUCK BIDEN

Once I do finally get to a range I will most definitely post a review here.

Re: Opinion Question from new member here.
Well, I went to a buddies house today and we squeezed off about 150 rounds out of my C-9 9MM. It shoots like a dream and once I zeroed the sights it was fairly accurate too. Well worth the 140 dollars. Definitely a good first handgun IMO. Eventually I plan on getting the 45 version though, and passing this one to my wife though lol.

Excellent!! Glad to hear you liked it. Many folks knock 'em based soley on price or hear-say...without ever actually owning or shooting one.
