Subsonic .22 lrhp?

Do they kill almost as good as the hi-speed lrhp?, I got my first .22 in 1951 and have killed at least a truck load of stuff with .22s since then but have no experience with subsonic hollow points.

The CCI subsonic shoots good groups in my CZ 452 and almost the same poi at 50yds as the mini mags.

yes, but remember, the farther the distance, the lesser the impact due to dropping velocity...and the ballistics is funny, what with the drop.

i took the below pest with a Ruger 77/22 with a suppressor and PMC "Moderator" 40gr subsonic ammo, range was about 40yds.

I didn't recover the bullet, it went right thru.

the skunk did not so much as twitch, just fell over dead, it didn't even have time to stinkblast.

Can't say about ballistics but CCI Subsonic HP's run in everything I own, not so with other subs. I keep a few boxes of hyper velocity stuff around for varmints because when I need to drop something I want it to be effective. I'm considering .223 with varmint grenades for this season so I can take longer shots and not worry about ricochet as much...
