how do I wear a shoulder holster?

alright, stupid question, I know...

I'm wondering the best way to wear an old bianchi 1911 shoulder holster. It has the mag case for the other side, so i think the weight might balance out well. it's also a vertical holster. Do I wear it high and in my arm pit or down low like cross draw?

it's mostly for long drives and wearing under a coat.

I wear a shoulder holster on road trips from time to time. I have always worn it directly in the middle between my belt and my arm pit. Too high, and it's very uncomfortable. Too low, and you might as well wear a crossdraw holster on your belt. If it looks like you are carrying a loaf of bread in your arm pit, it's too high.
