Well, I got an AR recently and I haven't used one since rifle qualifications on the M16A1 about 15 years ago, and there was one thing that made me a bit nervous that I had forgotten about-- the forward assist. IMO, it kinda says something negative about the reliability of a weapon if it's necessary to put a feature like that on it.

I buy delrin plugs for my AR's, I dont use the F/A in any of my malf drills.

Well this is a first for me... I have put thousands of rounds through AR/M16/M4 rifles and never screamed... unless you count shrieks of joy the first time I got to shoot on full auto...
