Who likes their .38 snub
Caliber and stopping power arguments aside. Who really likes their snub?
I never thought I would own a .38 snub much less love the thing. Started out just looking for a pocket pistol for just "running out" or for shorts weather. Don't
like the tiny autos(keltec and such) so started looking at .357 snubs figuring on carrying .38 in it. Purchased a S&W 637 airweight because the magnums were just to bulky for my requirement. 4 months later I am still astonished how accurate it can be.
15 yds I average 3 out of 5 in a 3" group (often tighter)with the remainder about 4" with the occasional stray. At the $340 it cost I can't complain. What can I say I love my snubnose.FUCK BIDEN

Re: Who likes their .38 snub
A 38 snub is one of those things which major attraction is that it's easy to carry. Not the easiest gun to shoot well, not "best" for hunting, self defense or targetshooting. But it's one of those things you have to have. I have a couple of them.
It used to be as an LEO the only authorized off duty gun. Now I'm retired and can carry whatever I want I usually carry...a 38 snub.
I never cared for the airweights as the few extra ounces never bothered me.

Re: Who likes their .38 snub
Love my 642. Best carry gun ever devised.
I have to call BS on your claim of 3" groups at 15 yards. I shoot MAYBE 6" at 10 yards with my 642 and I have yet to see anybody do any better.

If anyone has a snubby and hates it, let me know I'll take it off your hands.

Re: Who likes their .38 snub
I have a Taurus model 85 and it is a great gun to carry. Much easier to conceal than my FN semi-auto.

I'm pretty fond of my 642, I won't say that I love it....yet. After I throw on some Barami high grips and a Tyler T-grip we'll see what emotions come out.

Re: Who likes their .38 snub
For the record it was 3 of 5 in the group. I have no reason to bs anyone.
This is why I love this little gun. If I were flinging them
into 5 or 6" groups I would be a little luke warm about it.
At 25 yds I put 2 in the 9 ring, 1 in the 8 ring,1 in the 7 and the other barely hit the paper (silhouette target). Granted that one was luck.FUCK BIDEN

S & W 637. My usual cold weather carry gun. It's great under a sweat shirt with a OWB holster.
