.40 cal in a 10mm pistol?
I was just on Ted Nugent's website, in the Ask The Nuge section, and he stated that he loaded his Glock Model 20 10mm with .40 cal ammunition. Has anyone here ever heard of this?
I know that a.40 S&W is essentially a cut-down 10mm, but I didn't know that they were interchangeable. Is this analogous to shooting .38 Special in a .357 magnum (like my brother does with his Ruger GP100)?
Thanks in advance for any info!

NO. DON'T DO IT.
Autoloaders headspace on the case mouth. Revolver ammo headspaces on the case rim.
Ted is either blowing smoke or smoking crack.
It's dangerous for many reasons.

Re: .40 cal in a 10mm pistol?
+1 What Tony said. If you want to shoot .40 out of your 10mm get a .40 barrel. They are avialable for the Glocks. While a .40 S&W round will frequently fire in a 10mm gun it does so supported by the extractor and not properly head spaced. The potential exists for damage to the shooter and the firearm.
