Gunsmith in LV
I'm looking for a gunsmith in the Lehigh Valley area (or close to) to put night sights on for now, and to do work later on. Anyone know of a reputable place to go. Army Navy in Whitehall told me of a place in Topton, but after the hassle they've caused me I don't trust anything they say
Thanks in advance

How far north?? im in the lehigh valley too and i've been thinking of getting a new gunsmith. I've been going to golden trigger. I've heard a lot of negative stuff about the owner but he has always been honest with me. However, it just cost me 60$ for him to put night sights on a handgun. Plus, its a 20 min drive to emmaus.

Re: Gunsmith in LV
The place in Topton is the Handgunner. If you do a search on this forum you'll get quite a lot of opinions on them. I've had them work on several guns, and I've been pleased with their work.

I have gone to Lester Knipe - The Varmint Shop - for many years and he does good work and is reasonably priced.
He works out of a shop at his house to keep overhead low.
He is in Orefield three houses off of route 309
Highly recomended.

Re: Gunsmith in LV
I noticed Chuck Lutz was listed.
I have known Chuck Lutz for 40 years - he was the guy who took me hunting deer for my first time.
Great Guy and very competent gun smith.

Re: Gunsmith in LV
Might be a necro post, but I can second Lester Knipe. Good guy. Has done a ton of work for my family. Glass bedded a 22-250, triggers on T/C firestorms, blueing on some shotguns, even could fix my old Sears Ted Williams 20g semi shotgun that others told me to scrap. Excellent prices and always a quick turn around.
