3rd Gen 5900 series pistols, basically. Fine guns, mine worked very well, though I only had it for about 500 rounds. All of the older S&W autos I've owned have worked very well indeed.

I've been shooting one for quite a few years...they're SUPER reliable. These are "value-line" pistols...the finish isn't as nice as the main line guns and there are some plastic parts but nothing's broken on my gun yet. I'd give them a thumbs-up.

I used to have a 915, same gun with a 15rd mag. Excellent pistol, very accurate, never had one problem with it. My dad also had one. It was what he switched to after carrying a Smith revolver for 20 years, managed to quailfy second in the department with it first time out.

Thanks for posting this thread. I have also been looking at this gun as well, I love the way it feels in my hand and the last S&W auto I owned was flawless. The best price I have seen so far is $525, does that sound about right?

Wow I just posted a thread about the exact same gun. at about the same time. after only having the gun for about a week now I have put about 300 rounds through it with out a hitch. So far I love the gun. Accurate, reliable(So far), easy to use and care for. Not the prettiest gun in the world but definatley seems to serve its purpose. I was also looking for feedback on longevity and any problems anyone has had with them.

As far as accessories go I have only really seen laser grips and night sights. I am sure there is more out there I haven't looked really hard yet.

I just checked mine...if I shake it really hard i can hear a very faint "tick" from inside. BTW, Hi-Viz has a fiber optic front sight for the 910...cheap (about $20) but be informed...it's plastic. I've had mine on the gun for about 6 months or so...shot several IDPA matches in that time. It hasn't broken.
