    Default Out of State Purchase

I just bought a Mini 30 on Gunbroker from an individual in Kaliforina. He says an individual can ship to an FFL, but 7 dealers I have talked to will only accept transfers from another FFL. Is it Federal or State, and if it is not either, any suggestions on doing the transfer?

PS I have bought probably 10 items off gunbroker and the seller always sent from an FFL.

go back into gun broker, they have links to FFL holders in your area that will handle it.

A lot of dealers won't accept from non FFL because people often do not supply the info a dealer needs to log the gun in. Others believe (erroneously) they are protecting themselves somehow.

You'll just have to keep trying until you find one willing to accept from non FFL or work out the seller shipping from an FFL

I have tried 5 or 6 dealers but none were willing to accept a firearm from an individual. The seller says his guy wants $125 not including shipping.

WOW, I don't understand why the FFL wants so much to ship it, that's just not right (but it is Kalifornia). There is no law that says a FFL HAS to accept a gun from a private individual. But I my personal case if the individual were to send me a copy of his DL (which shows his address) both ahead of time and with the package, that's all I need to enter it into my books. If the individual was reluctant to do this then that would not sit well with me as my question would be "what are they hiding?". If you were closer to State College, I'd work something out with you.
