Default how much ammo do you go through @ the range?

from the things ive read on here it seems to me that i use way more ammo every time i go to the range, was just wondering how much ammo everyone normally uses each time they go? i normally go through about 300-500rds of .40

I could EASILY go through 200 rounds in an hour (for one caliber), but I stay around 150 each visit (edited to add: this is just in .40. I probably shoot an additional 50 rounds or so in .380 for a total of 200 rounds +).

I go once a week (except last week as I was ill) and try to concentrate on something new every week like stance, grip, shot placement, etc. Sometimes I only take a certain amount of ammo to ensure I don't waste it all.

    I shoot both a .40 and a .380 (primarily the .40).

It gets to be an expensive schedule after awhile

it aall depends what im gonna shoot.....i usually bring my sks, 870 and steyr 9mm......usually bout 80 rounds of sks and bout 50 rounds of 12ga slugs and 100-200 9mm.......i go often so thats why i dont shoot a lot of ammo each time.....mostly ill shoot the sks first by itself at the 100 and 200 yard range then go over to the pistol range with the 870 and m9 switching off between the two.....

when i go shooting its a relaxing time for me so im not rushing to quickly reload my mags and shoot again, i take my time and just have fun......

300 rounds of .40 on avg. 200 shots is not enough entertainment.

I usually shoot 200-300 rounds, usually 9mm. I try to go once a week.... but I keep on wanting to go more

Recently, I've been trying some of the other rental guns @ the range (I usually stay with Glock/XD) - just so that I've got a basic familiarity with more firearms... I never know what I might run into at work and need to know the basics (at the least, how to disarm it, safely).

    Depends. How much you got?

    I shoot around 300rds of 45acp/wk. I also shoot a lot of .22 for fundementals; around 500rds/wk.

I have a couple of personal rules though. I generally start out with the .22. If I am "off" for some reason; my fundementals aren't clicking, I pack up and leave. If, once I make it to the 1911s, if my fundemantals aren't "spot-on", I leave.

Deal is, if I'm not hitting what I'm aiming at; what I know I am capable of, I pack it in. Something isn't right, and that's likely to do with my head, not my guns. I choose not to waste ammo on a head issue. I can work on that in the car, on the way home.
