so, as i stand there... looking at this older man who looks very very familure...

he started talking to me as i was working the boot for the Marine Corps. i could NOT for the life of me figure out why his face was hitting my brain like a freight train. then we shook hands, and he said one word... "Conway"

NO FREAKIN SHIT!!! yeah, he looks taller in his pictures, and he hasnt ahd a haircut in a month... lol

he also looks MUCH younger in person.

he had a bag full of fishing stuff and was heading off to his property in NH from waht i gathered...

it was a rather embarassing moment for me since i didnt recognise him... lol

That has to be so cool. Highest ranking officer I ever had the pleasure to sit and have a conversation with was a very nice Major, who called me son. lol

ehh, in my real job (helo mechanic AH-1 UH-1) a major is a door way away... a captain is every 5 seconds and a Lt Col is every other hour... lol

Generals are a PITA... lol

Gee you had one of them too? Actually mine retired an LC but I never saw him with the rank.
