Default AR Question HELP ASAP Please

Well a store back home has a great deal on Bushmaster O.R.C. (Optics Ready Carbine) $740

This will be my first AR. My question is.. Is Bushmaster a good starter gun? How is Quality, Accuracy, Dependability Etc? Also I assume since it's an AR platform I can add stuff to it easily... Again this will be my first AR so I am new to this type of gun...

Welcome to the club! Yes, you can easily add accessories and swap out pieces on the AR platform. Bushmaster is a decent brand from what I hear, though I've never owned one. You got a good price on it too. Now you just need to pick up an Aimpoint.

I have one, would not buy another one, but I have high standards. They are decent firearms. You will not be dissapointed unless you wanted precision accuracy, top of the line mil-spec and tested components, or the ability to shoot 75+ grain ammo (Bushies generally use 1/9 twist). I you want a basic AR with decent fit and finish, reliable, and as accurate as the Colt M16 then the Bushy will fit the bill if the price is right. Usually you can get something better for the price of the Bushy, but it's a decent rifle. At that price I would take it if you are not worried about 75+ grain ammo and don't want to build yourself.
