Re: s&w 5906 pricing
yes, 340 for the whole package is a good deal. i routinely see 5906's sell in gun shops for 350-400+ for just the gun and maybe two mags. in their latest catalog cdnn has 5906's w/one mag for between 329 and 349. i suggest you close your deal as quickly as possible.

Hell I just sold a LNIB 5906 one with a Safariland duty holster and JIT slide holster. Ain't no way I'd have sold it for $340. Snatch it up!

Re: s&w 5906 pricing
Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. www.Summitgunbroker.com has the best prices I have seen on used 5906's starting around $285 but they were police guns and are less than perfect, and they don't come with a holster, etc. so good deal for sure!
I will make mention that I used a 5906 for my police academy training and was very impressed with the gun. I fired over 1200 rounds in 4 days and never had a hickup. I believe there was only a couple of failures out of all the cadets in the class. I don't think you will be disapointed!

Excellent deal. Sure about nickel finish? Never saw that on a 5906.

Re: s&w 5906 pricing
Good point. Take a look at the serial number and see if the edges are rounded off. Lot's of guys polish a stainless gun and call it "nickel". Nothing wrong with a good home polishing job, as long as it isn't over done. Me and Pred were looking at a gun at the Allentown show where the LOGO was almost polished out!
