Re: Illegal to carry more than 10 rounds????
Not in Pennsylvania. California has have mag capacity limits but NOT PA. Some other commie states might as well. No law against hollow points either. Jersey does (watch the most recent Soprano's for a schooling on that)
EDIT:
In PA, you can carry as many rounds of whatever you want. Now, you cannot be prosecuted for these things but they could look poorly if you were ever sued. The DA may call it self defense but a civil lawyer may call it "intent to murder". For this reason you should lobby your reps to support a law that exempts persons from civil lawsuits in cases of self-defense. These are frequently called "castle doctine" laws. Do a forum search for more info on these. There are many posts.Last edited by D-FENS; April 14th, 2007 at 01:46 AM.

Re: Illegal to carry more than 10 rounds????
that book must be left over from the days of the klinton gun ban...or intended for new jersey or california or sumpin...
there is no round limit on magazines in PA. there is also no law against hollow points in pa.
so go ahead and fill those 15 round mags to capacity with hollow points.
heck, if ya want to, go ahead and get a 33 round mag and fill that up with hollow points. might be a little hard to conceal, though.
fyi, here is the text of the pennsylvania uniform firearms act. if something is not declared illegal in there...and is not illegal by federal law...then it ain't illegal (er, well, except carrying in state parks is sort of illegal and not mentioned in there).

Re: Illegal to carry more than 10 rounds????
I wonder if the Socialist State of New Jersey will be prosecuting the State Trooper
and its Govenor for the Seat Belt Violations with the recent "automobile accident".
They have violations for everything else, from pumping your own gas, to what
temprature you hamburger must be cooked at in a restraunt. Large capacity
ammunition devices shows just how much the "State of New Jersey" fears itself
and its citizens.

Best to just avoid NJ/. I really don't have a need to leave PA, anyways.

Re: Illegal to carry more than 10 rounds????
Just so you know, not only your hollow points, your Glock is not welcome in NJ either
I discussed this in another thread recently. Hollow points are legal in NJ to buy, have in your house, shoot at the range, hunt woodchuck, and even have in your gun for HD. You cannot carry hollowpoints if you are one of the few to have a carry permit. Having hollow points in your gun when you are commiting another crime is an add on charge. If you use hollow points in a HD situation and it's a clean shoot you aren't in any extra trobule. I think if the prosecutor in NJ determines it's a clean shoot it's a squeaky clean shoot.
The magazine limit in NJ is 15rds. You can own them, use them at the range, and keep them in your HD gun. My understanding is if you do have that rare NJ carry permit you can only have 10 rds in your gun. A 15 rd mag with only 10 in it would be okay.
I'm not saying things in NJ are bad concerning gun laws. A bayonet stud is one of the "assault rifle" features, I wonder how many people in NJ have been bayoneted?
