Coyote Hunting in McKean County
Does anyone have information on Coyote hunting in McKean County. I am an avid deer hunter and looking to expand my hunting time. I have acess to 800 acres in Port Alegany need some help getting started. Are ther many coyotes taken in this area? I purchased a digital caller and hand call but just need some direction from someone that has experience.
Thanks

I don't have any info about that area. I would contact a gunshop in the Bradford area. They would be your best source of info.

Re: Coyote Hunting in McKean County
The 800 acres is it all wooded or are there a couple fields. If there are fields that is the best place to set up for a coyote. Theres lots of ways to hunt them, electronic call, mouth calls, baiting, using dogs, tracking, and just sitting and having dum luck that one walks by you. I'v heard of a lot of coyotes taken from mckean county. so you should have no trouble finding them on 800 acres of land. If the land that you have to hunt on is all wooded set-up on a logging road or a 4-wheeler trail, just something that will allow you to see the coyote before it see's you. I have already hunted out of a tree stand with a electronic caller and a decoy. I have had luck with doing that. I hope this helps if you have any more questions just let me know. Good luck!

Re: Coyote Hunting in McKean County
Hey, theres a Coyote hunt in sinnamahony, which is not far from Port allegany this weekend so get out hunting. You can win some big money for shoting the biggest coyote. And even if you dont shot the biggest you get money for every coyote that you bring in. So get there and registure, its like 10$ to register and you have to become a member which dont cost that much.
