    Question New indoor pistol range

I am in the beginning stages of opening my own pistol range just outside Marysville, Pa (north west of Harrisburg). Any advice, support would be greatly appreciated. The bank needs membership numbers, so anyone local who would join, please let me know!

What hours of operation are you thinking? I am in Hbg often with downtime.

I don't think you will be able to get a good number. This sounds like a "build it and they will come" deal. Word of mouth and treating people right will only make things brighter. Good luck!

I work in Harrisburg and used to shoot at Danny's on 322 towards Hershey. I have been hoping another range would open in the area. Marysville is a little out of the way, but I may be interested. Would this be indoor or outdoor?

A range in Marysville you say? That would be tremendous! Depending on the membership fees I would likely be interested in becoming a member. Please keep us updated on your progress!

Things are moving along quite well, if I build in in perdix instead of rye township, I can get better loan rates because its an economic devlopment corridor, plus it will be right on rts 11/15 so I will get more drive by customers. We are still working on prices and hours, my accountant didn't like my starting prices (too low)

Getting even closer to me here in Duncannon! Do you have any kind of timeframe in mind? Obviously it sounds like you're pretty far off if you haven't selected a township yet, let alone a location...

Will this be for a private club or is it a commercial enterprise? Is the range already in place or do you have to design and build it? If you want advice, we need more details!

Have a range capable of handling both pistols and rifles, including shotguns. Treat your customers well, too. Would you have ammo in stock?

    Make it FREE of course!

I don't really have anything to add, other than bringing this back to the top.

One thing maybe, lights.....make sure you shield the lights. The switched our range from running fluorescent lights long ways to running across the range, and added shields to reduce glare, made a world of difference.
