Do you stockpile ammo?
OK lets be careful with this one. Not looking for too many specifics. Don't want big brother sniffing around. Just wondering how long you could "hold out".
I'm not talking about buying bulk ammo for shooting. I'm talking about always making sure you have a minimum(however you define it)amount of defense ammo for whichever or as many shooting irons you deem necessary.
Me I always keep a min. of 150-200 rounds per weapon. If I have 150 of 9mm jhp
to blow off I either replace them immediately or purchase the ammo to put into rotation first.
I don't know how this happened to me it just did. Personally I think an ammo lightweight.FUCK BIDEN

Re: Do you stockpile ammo?
150-200 rounds per weapon is NOT stockpiling ammo...
1500-2000 rounds per weapon is closer to actually stockpiling ammo, but not quite...Drew Bingaman Chair Susquehanna Valley Libertarian Party

Re: Do you stockpile ammo?
Depends on when I can hit the sales back home, but generally in any caliber I shoot in volume, I have at least 500 rds. More if its cheaper
Pistol rounds I keep the least ammount of around since I don't shoot them as muchThe resident Saiga snob

Re: Do you stockpile ammo?
I could hold out just fine for now...
I'm low on .40S&W, down to about 300 left need to load up another 1k+. Rifle cartridges i'm golden. ~2000 7.62x54R, ~2500 7.62x39, ~2000 30-06, 500 7.5x55 Swiss. And some other assorted calibers but not in any significant quantity.
Now i just need to add about 2k 7.62 and 5.56 NATO rounds to the pile...

Yeah... I thought I had a lot when I told a friend that I had 800 rnds of .223. He then told me that he has 10,000 rnds in that caliber alone.
I generally like to have 250 rnds for each gun, except for .22, where 2,000 comes in handy.
Hard-to-find ammo I'll definitely stock up on, like the Swiss GP11 when it supposedly hits our shores in May. I'll grab 960 rnds of GP11 in one lot, which should be at least a 5-year supply as it's a bolt-action and definitely not a plinker.

Re: Do you stockpile ammo?
2500 rounds of .223
4000 rounds of .22 LR......the survivalist ammo.
About 2000 rounds of .40
At least 100 for every high powered rifle.
About 200 rounds of shotgun ammo.......about half are slugs and Buckshot.
In reality, I can bleed all of that off if I keep 1000 rounds of .223........I can sleep well, then.

Re: Do you stockpile ammo?
It depends. .22 ammo is easy enough so I only keep a brick or two around. The rest belongs to guns I don't shoot as much, so not really,
The only ammo I really like to keep around is 7.62x54r, and 12ga. I picked up another 600 rounds of 7.62 today mainly for the shot on sunday, but also just to have around.

Stockpile...I dislike that word...like "arsenal" its unfortunately come to imply some sort of lunatic getting ready for some revolution.
The cold hard fact is that ammo keeps increasing and thats a MAJOR reason to buy alot of ammo while you can. Thats my philosophy anyway ;-)if you ever see my post edited...its most likely for speling :D
