Re: Do you stockpile ammo?
I can certainly see where you might want to stock up if you have a gun that the ammo is hard to find. My guns are not though, 30-06 30-30 308 win 357 mag 38sp 380 semi auto 22 long 12gauge 410 gauge.. all pretty standards rounds. I do admit though , that when 911 hit the U.S. I went out and bought a few extra boxes. , but I have shot thru those.. I tend to be pretty practical though. I would probably do the same if it was hard to find rounds. But I'm not into stock piling . I go to the range I will stop and get what I need to shoot that day. Plus enough to keep a fare supply around the house, so not to run out.

Re: Do you stockpile ammo?
yeh and lunitics were shooting at people trying to save them. If something like that happened I would have to strongly rely upon my faith. I sleep easier at night. Not to be nieve about anything.

Re: Do you stockpile ammo?
Exactly what our fellow posters have said. The first thing cut off will be guns and ammo. Does hurricane Katrina ring a bell? The government doesn't trust you with guns and ammo, especially when you need it the most. It has been proven over and over again. What you have is what you've got. and thats it. Stockpile. Kill, or be killed. It's as plain as day. Or at least should be. Bill T.

Re: Do you stockpile ammo?
Besides the SHTF argument, the trend in ammo prices makes stockpiling the smart move. Buy more than you need now, rather than paying more and more as the prices continue to rise.

Re: Do you stockpile ammo?
Very true. I've been buying Speer Blazer Brass in .45 ACP from Wal-Mart for $9.99 @ box of 50 for quite some time. The price is now up to $10.99, up a buck. I am continuing to buy it because it's only a matter of time before it goes even higher. I don't need more now, but I will in time. In time I'll have to pay even more so it pays to buy now. I could keep the money in an account either pass book, or money market, but it's not as likely to rise as fast as the price of ammo will. Bill T.
