I had to watch it twice to see exactly what he did. Luck for him it was probably "just" ball ammo.

Yeah it's been passed around the net a few times. It's his carelessness that's at play. Im not a fan of VFG's directly under the tip of the muzzle on any gun.

I don't think it was his gun. The grip came off! Not really the shooters fault. I'd blame it on the owner not locking it down tight.

It wasnt the grip, it was the malfunctioning POS catching him off guard that got him hurt. They should have stopped shooting when they realized the gun wasnt working right.

    .
Watch it again, his fist is clinched on the forward grip until it slides/breaks off and he shoots himself, dropping the forward grip on the ground. You can see the forward grip on the ground under the firing point as he goes off screen.

That REALLY looks like the gun broke ... those of you that don't see it watch it again .. you can see when the front grip snaps while in full auto mode so he loses control and it was so fast I don't know if he could have stopped it.

Looking at it in slow motion, it does appear that a forend type grip post was attatched to the 3rd gen rail on the front of his G18.
