New search sucks.

I can understand how a broad, generic search of the whole forum could do that, but why would a search of, for example, the feedback section, put a huge load on the servers? Unfortunately, if you have a short, or generic username like I do, it renders the feedback section useless. I have at least three different threads that people started because nobody can find the older threads. Wha, wha!

It can happen because vBulletin's search capabilities are notorious for failing once a forum grows to a certain size. We passed that size long, long ago.

One day I'll look into it again and see if I can find a good middle ground, but I have other priorities at the moment unfortunately.

using google and entering...

site:pafoa.org

...before your search terms actually works pretty well. people could use that as a workaround.
