PA License
This might seem like a stupid question, but it is something that I have often wondered about. Are all pistol permits in PA the same? Are they all a PENNSYLVANIA LICENSE TO CARRY FIREARMS? Mine is issued by the McKean County Sheriff and says the reason to carry is for SELF-DEFENSE. Are permits from different counties different? Curious minds want to know.

Re: PA License
All the same, we discussed the whole "reason" thing here before - it was interesting.
Mine says "Protection"... my previous permit said "Protection / Sport".
The "reason" listed on your permit has no bearing on why you have it or how you may use your handgun.
The only "reason" to have it is to legally carry it concealed on your person or while in a vehicle.
