    I am not familiar with the Tantel's, but is that handguard plastic?

    Tantal is Polish version of AK-74. Not AK-47. It shoots 5.45x39 instead of 7.62x39.
    And yes, hand guard is mismatched color plastic...

    I see something that looks like an AK47, and automatically assume it is one.

    Nice Mity. Are you going to any shoots anytime soon? We have to meet up and shoot sometime. We can take Arisakas and 5.45's. I have a SAR2. That Tantal is pretty cool looking. Give us a range report soon.

    It isn't mismatched, it's two-tone, like a pair of spectators:



    And yes, that's the way stuff looked, pre-Beryl, which is '96 and before.

    In fact, one is plastic, and the other bakelite.
