Does anyone know if there are metal detectors at the GIANT center in Hershey?

My wife wants me to take her and the kids to see Disney on Ice.

On the GIANT Center website it says:
"Restricted Items
Personal food and beverage items, coolers, banners, helium balloons, and sound emitting, non-electronic (air horns, whistles, noisemakers) or electronic devices are not permitted and must remain outside GIANT Center as well as weapons of any type and laser light pointers."

I assume that this is just like the signs on store windows. However, it won't do me any good to conceal if they have metal detectors. Has anyone been there carrying?

Also, how are the seats? Are they narrow? I am a big guy and movie theatre seats give me a little trouble with the extra width of my gun.

Gee whiz fella you just need to get yourself one of those new fancy plastic guns like a Glock. everyone kow they are not detectable by x-ray or metal detectors. Yea, right.

Just to not confuse anyone, that line is from Die Hard 2. It doesn't exist.


OP...just like others have said in previous convention centers, where a nice big shiny belt buckel and put it up there for the interim and move it back to wherever you want later on.

The Glock 7 is a fictional firearm featured in the movie Die Hard 2.

In the movie, it was said to be made of plastic with a ceramic barrel and slide and undetectable by X-Ray. It was also said to be very expensive.

WHY MUST YOU CRUSH MY DREAMS! I met a guy on a gun forum that said he had one and it was VERY expensive but he would sell it to me for a killer deal becasue he didnt have a use for a gun that doesnt show up by metal detectors.

Oh and I have no idea about the convention center, sorry. Just stash it behind your belt buckle and when you get past (if there are any) stick it where you want it.

I went last night. There are no detectors, but I didn't carry. I had to park half way between the building and Harrisburg, so it would have been one hell of a walk back if I got caught with it. I just hid my folding knives startegically to get through.

The seats were narrow as hell. The built in cup holders were digging into my legs something awful.

I ended up standing for the last half of the show.

But now I know for future reference, no detectors, and bring soda caps.

I have a terrible habit of never paying attention to anything I don't care about. I would have made a great cop. If they do have them at the GIANT center..I would hafta say..they aren't giant sized.
