    Default BSA Sweet 17 6-18x40

I just picked up a Savage .17 HMR. I'm leaning towards this scope. Anyone have any good/bad experiences with it I need to know prior to getting it?

    Thanks!

I haven't used the Sweet 17 scope before, but I have heard great things about it. In my experience, the BSA scopes that are closer to $100 will usually hold up pretty well against light recoiling rifles. My best friend has had one on a .22-250 and .223 for quite a while and it gets banged around the truck alot and abused, and it still has held zero for about 5 years. The optics aren't the best, but about on par with what you're paying for. Either way, from the features that I've seen on the Sweet 17, it's not bad for the money and I hear the turrets usually are calibrated spot on. As I said, I haven't used one, but I'll toss out what I've heard, and my experiences with BSA.
