Default Question regarding OC and my FL permit

    Hello,

I Live in MD, but just received my FL carry permit. I travel to Pittsburgh a lot because I am originally from there. My fiance lives still lives there and I work in West Mifflin. Now I may not open carry right away, but if I decide too I want to be sure I am not violating any laws. I have been reading a lot of great information on here and have printed some fliers. Okay my question. My FL license says Concealed Weapon or Firearm License. With that being stated I am still allowed to open carry in PA since the PA license states License To Carry A Firearm?

    Thank You

You can Open Carry in Pittsburg even without your FL license.

Yes, but what about when I am driving in my car, and then I get out an open carry.

You follow the laws of the state you are in regardless of what privileges the issuing state confers.

You may open carry outside of a car because no law or licensing rules says its illegal in PA. Your FL permit just allows you to carry in a car openly or concealed, and once out of a car it allows you to conceal it.

PA honors all licenses from all states inside a vehicle. While in the vehicle there is no requirement to conceal or display, ...just that you must have a license. And when you get out, your FL CWP is honored and you can conceal with it. Or you can openly carry without any licensing requirements.
