Talking Top 10 semi-auto rifles for $1000 or less.

I'm putting a list of the top 10 semi-auto rifles that are $1000 or less. I've got a list of 15 so far. I'm looking to see if anyone has additional recomendations. After that I'll start a poll. I'm pretty sure the AR-15 and AK-47 will be 1 and 2 but I'm curious for the rest of the 8.
Here's what I have so far in no specific order:

    M4

    AR15

    AK47 / AK74

    9mm UZI

    Beretta cx4 storm

    m14

ruger mini 14 (this can be modified about 35 different ways)

    FN FS2000

    SKS

    Ruger 10/22

Calico m100s (pic is of the 9mm version m105. the m100 is .22LR)

    HK G3 (CETME)

    M1 Garand

    M1 Carbine

    IMI Galil

1). Are any of these over $1000?
2). Any others to add to the list?

FS2000 is more than $1000... Closer to $2000...
The M4, if it's a Colt LE 6920 it will be about $1400 - $1600 if you can find it...

In the current market the M4/AR are over $1K, I have NEVER found a IMI Galil for under a $1000.. and most Garands are up there as well,Uzi I would say is also just over.

FS2000 I do believe to be over a grand to buy. But I dont know they are too buck rogerish for me. So I never looked at them twice.

Druganov SVD, not sure but most likley over as well..

Sorry but if you find any HK rifle for under $1K you found a needle in the hay stack. You might find a CAI built cetme for just under $1K, any HK clone (Vector, coharie,SAR, PTR) are over $1K..

HK's and IMI stuff is all PRE-BAN for importation, so the existing ones are high in value. Kinda like the limited supply of rookie basball cards.. made once and never again, drives prices up.

ok so the FS2000, the galil, and the CETME have to come out? I'll work on finding prices tomorrow. Do you have any suggestions that I should add?

The Dragunov comes off....they are 2-3K for real ones

You can snag a PSL which may look similar and fire the same round but it does not work the same way

PSL is a couple rifles down

dragunov is off the list. I saw the Romanian variants on gunbroker and thought that was an accurate price. So, the Romanian variants arent as accurate as the real dragunovs? Any idea what's different?

Also, anyone have anything to add?

You're missing the FAL good sir.

    My list would be

    1. AR
    2. AK
    3. M1 Garand
    4. M1 Carbine
(M1A might be a stretch for under 1k now)
    5. CETME
    6. FAL
    7. SKS
    8. GSG-5
    9. 10/22
    10. Thompson Semi Auto (though these can get over 1k, depends on the shop)

    that list looks decent
I would leave out pistol caliber carbines like the Thompson and such though, I mean we are talking Rifles, and if you open that door then you have a great many other considerations.
yeah M1A is not going to be under 1K, and I asume we are talking new prices only.
I would replace the GSG-5 (too new, just MO) with the mini

if we toss out the gsg, the 10/22 gotta go too.

Replace with Mini 14/30 or maybe the keltec su.

There's always the AR-10's (regular and Knights/DPMS style) too (pushking 1k there)...and the SVT's can be had at 1k depending on condition and seller.

why toss the 10/22 ? its one of those classic standard rifles, accesories out the wahoo.....

I thought about the SU series, they def rate high on the "bang for buck" ratio
