    1-AR-15
2-ar-10(pushing the 1k mark, but bone stock you should beable to do it)
    3-AK
    4-M1 Garand
    5-mini14
    6-SKS
    7-10/22
    8-M1 Carbine
    9-Browning BAR
    10-tommy gun

not really my top 10, but for under 1k I think those are some of the best your gonna do. You won't find an M1A, or FAL near 1k so they are out and i'm not one for the gimmick or knock off rifles so it doesn't leave ya with much.

You can get an l1a1 fal under 1k.

I think for the BAR you'd have to get one of the safari/hunting models...but it's essentially the same...I had considered that for my revision but didnt put it on in the end.

Seems you can get those for under a K and the reviews seems promising on them...

And yea you'd have to go w/ the cheaper BAR, but its possible.

I would leave out pistol caliber carbines like the Thompson and such though, I mean we are talking Rifles, and if you open that door then you have a great many other considerations.
yeah M1A is not going to be under 1K, and I asume we are talking new prices only.
I would replace the GSG-5 (too new, just MO) with the mini
nah, i'm interested in pistol rounds too. Give me recommendations

The way the action works, the Romanian PSLs are basically oversized AKs

The Dragunov is more like the SKS (or so I've been told..I don't own one much to my dismay)

With a $1000 budget, I'd say six Hi Point 995s.
