Don't forget to get Gus, the second most annoying ground hog in PA while your there. I could do with never hearing about either of them ever again.

Tania in Pennsylvania's birthday happens every year on Groundhogs Day.

Happy Birthday to my LOVELY wife!

I'll be going to work as normal..........but Monday evening we'll be a little less 'Mommy & Daddy' and a little more 'Husband & Wife'!

Let's hope for no 'Failure to feeds' and definitely no 'failure to extracts'!!!!

It was kind of a special day for me. It was my due date when I was pregnant.

I don't remember if he saw his shadow or not in 1989, but I do know I didn't have a baby on that day.

I was hoping for a groundhog baby!

I assume it survived, as it was eating the old bread i tossed out on the snow.

though, since I only saw it some 13 hrs ago, its possible it just went back to bed.

it crossed the ice on the creek on my property, and headed back to its burrow.

I saw one last year about the same time, so...I assume it'll be ok.

The only time I get excited about a ground hog is either when his face is in my crosshairs or when my pups go after and kill one...

they are as bad as rabbits and tree rats
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

    heh..no kidding.

my father killed 23 of them on a 1 acre property in the suburbs of philly.

cage traps baited with peanut butter, then a 22 to the head.

DON'T MESS WITH DADS GARDEN. (glad to see hes finally using the Ruger MKII 50th Aniv Ed. i bought him for Xmas a few years ago.)

I told him he'll have twice as many next year.

the german guy behind him shoots at them from his bedroom window

between the deer and the groundhogs, the gardens get wrecked.

let me relate a little story about a man who hated groundhogs...he's deceased, so its not like he'll get in trouble. he was a Malvern City Councilman, and had a Victorian home restoration biz.

Nice guy, but a little unbalanced on the groundhog issue.

A buddy of mines Father was into garands, and m1 Carbines, and old mil guns in general.

he ALWAYS carried a Garand in the vehicle, which was an Izuzu trooper.

one day, he, my buddy, and I were coming home from someplace, right in Malvern, about 1pm, and he slams the brakes on, and pops the rear hatch.

he jumps from the trooper, grabs the garand, slams a enbloc of armor piercing ammo in it (he literally had tons of this)... and just whales away at something about 60 yards away, in some million $ homes neighborhood.

slams most of the clip at something, runs down to it, pokes it, then slams another round point blank into it.

he comes back to the truck, with his docksiders and khaki pants covered in blood and hair.

I'm slumped in the back, trying to hear thru the ringing in my ears for sirens.

he puts the garand back in the rack, jumps in the truck and we take off.

my buddy says "Dad, what the fuck was that all about...we're gonna go to jail!!"

his Dad said "there was a fuckin groundhog!"

my buddy says "Dad...it's nowhere NEAR your garden!"

he just mutters in return ...

    "It was near SOMEONES garden!!!"

dude had SERIOUS issues with groundhogs!

I was thinking you might have used it for a bit of mid-winter target practice? No? BTW, those things are tough little buggers. W/ a .22lr, you gotta get head shots, body shots and they just run back to their holes!
