Ruger P345, P95, or SR9????
Just found this site.....LOVE IT!
I just bought the wife a Ruger LCP, and since she now has a Ruger she thinks I should have one too. (I love my wife!)
I am leaning towards the P345, but am sorta hesitant due to the 8 round capacity. I also like the P95 and the SR9 which would solve that problem (15 & 17 rd.) This will be a CCW.
Any opinions out there which will help me make up my mind?
Thanks

Without getting into the 9mm ~vs.~ .45 debate, 9mm is plentiful, and cheaper to buy. Ammo cost lately is on everyone's mind, and more practice always helps.
Have you tried handling each one yet? There may be one that fits your hand better than the others. It may be as simple as that.
I'm sure others will chime in that own these models with some personal experience for you.

Re: Ruger P345, P95, or SR9????
I have not handled any yet. The wife only suggested I buy one AFTER we left the gun shop. You're right though, feel will probably be the deterrmining factor. I was just wandering if anyone had any positive/negative feedback on these.
Thanks!

haven.t had any experiance with any of the ruger 9mms but did own a p345. good gun for the range and house protection. a little on the big size for cc to me especially in summer. wife likedit tho and carried it alot but she likes to wear big t shirts and with a skinny waist could hide it better.good reliable pistol. just wasn't what i was looking for in cc. also mags are in the 35$ range , can't go wrong tho on anything you choose from ruger. just need to find what you personaly like and can handle it

I also have a P95, love it. ~300 rounds far and besides 1 FTE (blazer ammo) it's been perfect. I have fairly large hands and it fits me perfect. I think it's just a tad large for a CCW ... While it's possible to carry it IWB, it took me a bit to get used to it. I guess it comes down to the way you carry and your comfort level. Welcome to the forum

Re: Ruger P345, P95, or SR9????
I've never liked the triggers on Ruger's double actions, so the P345 and P90 would be out for me.
I shot a new SR9 last weekend that a friend of mine just bought and to say I'm very impressed is an understatement. I'm a Glock guy and I didn't think I'd like the trigger on the SR9. It didn't feel that good when I dry fired it but it felt fine when I put a couple of mags of ammo through it and it shot perfectly to the point of aim.
I also like that Ruger was able to pack a 17 round mag into a much slimmer profile than you'd get from a Glock and the back strap is reversible.
I agree with Don T. 9mm is cheaper and just as available as .45 ACP.
I think the SR9 will be easier to carry concealed too.
