Re: Cracked frame on Smith 669
Check out this Colt kaboom, even steel frame cracks under pressure. I have heard scandium or Titanium is stronger than steel so I don't know if this is isolated incident or bad design. Nice light gun, however.

I have on occasion reloaded various calibers, and often wondered what would happen if I F-ed it up.

Terrible damage to a nice Colt and one lucky guy. I always double check my pistol loads and weigh the powder every few or so just to check I am throwing powder consistantly.
This reiterates the NECESSITY of NO DISTRACTIONS while reloading.
1. No TV
2. No drinking
3. No talking on the phone
4. Generally speaking...no half assed measures.
Note: I will do case prep work, sorting, and hand priming while watching TV....but NO actual loading!"Disperse you Rebels! Damn you! Throw down your Arms and Disperse!" British Major Pitcairn at Lexington April 19, 1775
