Wow. Very tragic that the "intruder" was just a drunk guy at the wrong house; however, I'm glad that the homeowner is protected by the "Make my day" law. For all the homeowner knew, he and his girlfriend's lives were in jeopardy. Now if they can only bring similar laws to PA that would be great.

Pretty funny how the media spins this story. How the fuck do they know he was just drunk and at the wrong house and not there to take a steak knife from the drawer, stab the home owner to death and rape his girlfriend? I hate the media.

I'm not second guessing the shooter, but I'm surprised I didn't hear a very loud warning. At LFI we all practiced our command voice warnings. Here I would expect to hear something like "freeze", or "I've got a gun".

Happened in my town in a townhouse community back maybe 5 years or so. Guy was drunk, went out back to piss and stumbled back to the wrong back door which was locked anyway. Homeowner unlocked and opened the back door. The guy ended up getting shot multiple times by his neighbor OUTSIDE his back door and was killed. The guy who did the shooting was charged with a few things. Shot the guy multiple times while the drunk guy was retreating. Claimed he was scared because "the guy might have had hidden weapons". The drunk guy was ass naked. This case seems a little different because someone was actually in the another's home not just trying to open the wrong locked back door.
